Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser 2010

Sat Feb 27, 2010   8am-10am

Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser 2010

DAY:     SAT Feb 27
TIME:    8am-10am
WHERE:   Applebee's Bonney Lake

The breakfast being provided will include Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.

Dear Rainier Rugby Parents & Players

The club has been fortunate enough to be presented with an opportunity to participate in a new fundraising initiative created by Applebee's Restaurants. Our event will be the first at the Bonney Lake Location and only the second in Washington.

The concept known as the Flapjack Fundraiser is pretty simple the restaurant opens their doors early 8am on our designated day 2/27 and allows us to utilize the premises until 10am to provide breakfast to our guests.

They provide the food, cooks and the full use of their facilities and we need to sell tickets, provide manpower to act as greeters, seaters and to bus tables. The food will be served in a buffet style so no table service is required other than refilling drinks. We are encouraging players to volunteer for these duties and as described below they will earn credit with their club account.

The club will sell tickets for $10 which will net a $5 profit after paying Applebee's $5. We are asking each player to sell a minimum of six tickets with an overall goal of having 200 guests present. All players including volunteers will be required to have a ticket to enjoy a breakfast meal.

Player Volunteers on the day of the event will receive $25 in credit on club dues or tour fund in return for their services. All other profit from the ticket sales will go directly into the club's general fund which will assist in costs associated with the Canada Tour and other club operating expenses.

Ticket sales need to be completed by Saturday 2/20 and all monies collected and unsold tickets returned to coach Ramsay. You will be charged for any unreturned tickets as the club will still need to pay Applebee's for every ticket we do not return to them. Checks can be made payable to Rainier Plateau Junior Rugby. It is essential that we know if the person purchasing the ticket is simply making a donation and will not be attending the breakfast versus the purchaser will be attending.

Volunteers:
Need a minimum of 12

Must be a minimum age of 16 & available to report to Applebee's by 7am

Wear club T Shirt and in clean good condition jeans

Sign up by contacting Coach Ramsay

Please embrace this opportunity to make a minimum of $1000 for the club while enjoying a fine breakfast with friends and family. Profits from this fundraiser as with all our fundraisers will go directly back into the club ultimately benefiting all team members and making our club financially strong.
