" Before I started my first practice I thought this would be just another sport. But when I started to understand the game and see how emotional and exciting it was, I fell in love. The way I was taught and respected by other coaches, it made me feel like anything was possible. Scoring my first try, changed my life in rugby, it gave me such drive and there is no other feeling in the world." " What or who got you involved in rugby: JJ Got me into my first practice and I stayed because it was a new sport, had lots of contact and was around great people. Other sports I have played are wrestling, soccer, football, track. Memories from first season: Tackles after Tackles! My advice for prospective players considering getting involved - Get ready to take a hit. " "I sought a challenge for my senior year. And stayed out after the first few practices when I realized I was doing something unique with my time. Other sports I have played are football. Memories from first season are meeting amazing friends and being part of a cooperative effort My advice for prospective players considering getting involved is to bring a friend and let steady improvement be your motivation. Can't wait for practice!" "
Rugby is by far the most fun sport I have ever participated in. I remember the first probably 2 months of practice when it was Casey, Collin, and myself basically that would show up to practice! Then all of a sudden we started to get more and more people when we moved across the street to the Stadium, and we didn't stop growing even up until the last couple of weeks. The comradery in this group grew and grew as well with each new team mate, who was immediately accepted into our club simply because they shared and interest with us in learning this new a "foregin" sport. I was also suprised at how fast people caught on to the sport and how tight of a group we became! This is a great sport and i hope to get more and more people out to join our club. It would be great to have 2 teams this year, and who knows maybe a girls team the year after...

" I would just like to thank you for the opportunity to play with the Rainier Plateau team. All the new people and places I got to see is something I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life. Midway through my senior year I decided to join up in your team. It was a big decision to make since I still had to focus on senior project and passing my classes, but I am glad I showed up for practice the first day because ever since that I was hooked. I will be leaving for the USAF on the 15th and will constantly check the site for news and such. I cannot tell you exactly when ill be back in town but when I have my leave I'll see if I cant make it to a game of two. Send kind regards to Callum, hopefully ill see you guys around. Later. " I am grateful to you for playing a part in preparing Josh mentally and physically for entry to his Air Force Career. Also, I am grateful for your talents as a coach in teaching team pride and warrior spirit. Rainier Rugby Club was the positive influence Josh needed (during his senioritus) to keep his attitude in the right place. I know he had tremendous respect for the coaches particularly the way everyone on the team was treated fairly.
Being new to the area, we were eager to find activities for all of our children and coming from a smaller area, they were excited to try new adventures. When Zane came to us and said he was interested in playing rugby, we were a little hesitant at first because the stories we had always heard about the sport.
