Girls Team
The Rainier Plateau Junior Rugby Club announces its 2012 girls team!

I am very excited to share the news that we have decided to move forward with the creation of girls side for 2012!
Much thought and deliberation has gone into this decision but we are committed now and are determined to make playing rugby for Rainier as rewarding an experience for the girls in our communities as it is for the boys. I have no doubt this endeavor is going to be challenging much like our fledgling team was a few years ago but the lessons learned combined with the fantastic support I know you will provide make me confident it will be a great success.
The first thing we need all of you to do is to tell your daughters, nieces, friends and anyone else about this "adventure". We will have new information posted on the website shortly but basically the format and season makeup will be similar to the boys.
We will also be scheduling some weekend touch rugby sessions during November which will be open to both boys and girls.
Some details for participation....
- Ages 14-18 (must be 18 or younger on 8/31/11)
- No tryouts or cuts
- Introduction/fundementals of rugby all Sundays in November
2:30pm @ Daffodil playing Fields in Sumner (see calendar for more details)
- No experience neccesary
- Season starts January and ends early May
- Games played on Sunday afternoons
